CNBC CNBC Features The Crons BrandTM


CNBC begun its own coverage of 2009’s NCAA Basketball Tournament with a feature blog on The Crons Brand™ by its Sports Biz reporter, Darren Rovell.

The Crons BrandTM is going dancing.

One of the fastest growing new brands in the sports apparel market, Crons is the official uniform provider for Robert Morris University, which punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament by defeating St. Mary’s on Thursday to win the Northeast Conference Tournament.

This will be the first appearance for Crons in the ‘Big Dance’ in its very first year of outfitting a Division 1 team. Robert Morris' last appearance in the NCAA Basketball Championships was in 1992.

Coincidence? Maybe…or maybe not.

The Crons Brand’s trip to the NCAA Tournament builds upon the momentum of a 250% increase in sales in 2008 and a customer base that now includes 300 schools and organizations in 21 states.



March 12-13, 2009
The Crons Brand officially launched it's new Website with a Street Team promotion outside Madison Square Garden for the Big East Tournament. Crons Street Teamers distributed 20,000 mint boxes and scratch off cards over two days that allowed recipients to enter two separate sweepstakes by going to the new Crons Website.

Produced 7,000 jerseys to the Orlando Junior Magic basketball program with anticipation of expanding that opportunity to junior programs run by other NBA teams
Supplied custom made game uniforms for Robert Morris University men's basketball team , 2008-09 Northeast Conference regular season champions
Supplied game uniforms to the Baltimore Mariners Arena Football team
Provided apparel for over 1,200 athletes in Baltimore/Washington, D.C. area
